Trunk

I bought this trunk at the Trackside Mall last week. It looks like someone may have started to paint it. I am going to re-do it, I just do not know when.

Catalogs

So, while going thru Nana and Gramps house I came across these Sears catalogs. One is from 1923, the other from 1900. I don't know why, but I am just facinated by them, possibly because Nana held onto them for all these years.

Here is a dresser my Dad gave to me last year...he has had it for about 25 years.

Here is the dresser after I re-did it. It is in my master bedroom. There is an Armoire also that goes with it, but needs to be re-done.

How precious are these?

My husband's  Grandmother, our Nana, passed away last April. Unfortunatley, his Grandfather , our Gramps, passed away this past December. We will miss them both. We helped my husbands (Darrin) parents start to clear out some things from his Grandparents home. Fran, my mother-in-law and I, although as hard as it was, we had some fun times looking thru their treasured things. One thing we found was one of Nana's first pairs of baby shoes! She had them safely wrapped in a box and a sticky note attached, " Bette's baby shoes, 1920". The year she was born.

New at this....

So, I have decided to start a blog about some of the things I love....I am new at this so bear with me. I will be posting pics of things I make, furniture I re-do and just simple things I love.
